Concept & Background
This mural detail, part of Varndean School’s foyer artwork, illustrates an expansive journey from the school’s grounds to distant horizons, encompassing local towns, cities, mountain ranges, and oceans. Inspired by former headteacher Miss Ellis’s vision of preparing students for life beyond school, the design reflects the school’s outward-looking ethos.
