Concept & Background
This linocut illustration appears on the title page of Chapter 1 of The Regenerate Leap by Stuart Green. The image shows a mobile phone on fire, displaying the message “Our deepest condolences” and dozens of unread notifications.
The illustration introduces the book with the moment Stuart Green’s phone began receiving a flood of messages during a meeting. Unknown to him at the time, his wife, a prominent lawyer in the Philippines, had been shot in broad daylight and news of the event was spreading rapidly.
